ORDERING PROCESSOne of the joys of dealing with craftsmen who do custom work is that you can have exactly what you want. There are four ways of doing that. If one of our Sample Products, as described, is exactly what you want, e-mail, fax, or call us and tell us so. We'll take your deposit and make it for you. The second is closely related to the first way of ordering. If one of our Sample Products is nearly what you want, tell us what changes you want made: Different size, different finish, different materials, any or all the parameters of the project. We'll communicate to make sure we understand what you want, confirm that we can do it, and get your agreement to the differences in price the changes require, if there is one. When all has been agreed, we'll ask you for a deposit, and soon thereafter, you'll have exactly what you want, modified to your needs and wants. The third way to place an order is just a variation of the second. If there's an Arts & Crafts accessory or furniture project you want, clip a drawing or photo, or sketch it out. Then fax it or email it to us along with your preferences about size, materials, finish, etc. We'll communicate to make sure we're on the same wave length, and develop working drawings and a price quote. And when all is agreeable and agreed to, we'll secure the deal with a deposit amd make it for you, exactly as you want. Fourth, we can design Arts & Crafts furniture to meet your more modern application. A good example of this way of getting there is the Clerk's Desk shown on the Sample Products page. Just tell us about it. Chances are excellent we can make a piece that does what you want it to, and does so using the Arts & Crafts "vocabulary". As you can imagine the design process can be time consuming, so we're obliged to ask for a nonrefundable design fee equal to 20% of our first approximation of a price for the piece, and is subject to adjustment if the design phase gets out of hand. While the fee is ours to keep, it will be applied to the purchase price of the piece as designed. Any way you go about it, you'll end up with...you guessed it...EXACTLY what you want. Remember, we make the kind of Arts & Crafts furniture you'd make for yourself...if you took the time to get good at it. CONDITIONS OF SALEAll sales are subject to a 50% nonrefundable deposit. We can afford to be stiffed for our labor once in a while, but if we get nicked for labor and materials we'll be in trouble in no time. So we don't start work until we have a deposit. In cases where there's a design fee, the fee counts as part of the nonrefundable deposit. When we've agreed on the design and price, you're responsible for 50% of the purchase price less the amount of the design fee. All products are shipped FOB Phoenix. Whenever possible, we ship UPS. They're generally the most economical and reliable carrier. For large pieces and international shipments, we use the most economical carrier we can find who will handle door-to-door delivery. If you have an alternative preference, we'll use it. When your piece is finished and shipping charges have been determined, we'll ask you for a final payment. As soon as we receive it, credit card, check, or money order, we'll ship your piece. If for any reason you're not pleased with our work, simply return it to us and your purchase price less the nonrefundable deposit and shipping will be refunded immediately, if that's what you want. The Giggle TestSome of the photos of our products you'll see on this site have things other than the products themselves in them. Rule of thumb is that if you can't claim the object in the photo is part of the product without giggling, it probably doesn't come with the project. Now if we could just get people to apply this test to politicians' claims.... back to top... |
